In the next window, choose “Enter Transfer Password.” (You will get a message to enter the transfer password, as well as a note that says you can link to the server up to 5 times.).
On the Save Data Transfer menu, pick “Link Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch.”.
On the Main Menu, pick “Data Transfer.”.
If this is your first time launching it, you will get a message saying “There is no data to be found.” Press “A” to continue, then: Launch your copy of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate on the Switch. On the touchpad, you will have the option to “Show Transfer Password.” Tap on that.

Before doing anything, make sure your Nintendo account on your 3DS and Switch are linked to avoid any hiccups.
